  11. INSTALLATION

  13. Depending on the program version, the user interface file contained in
  14. one of the "VER_xx" drawers must be copied to "PPaint_Prefs":
  15.  
  16. VER_82/UIText.custom -> Personal Paint 6.4 (bundled with the Amiga)
  17.  
  18. VER_84/UIText.custom -> Personal Paint 6.4 (published by Cloanto)
  19.  
  20. VER_88/UIText.hun    -> Personal Paint 7.0 and 7.1
  21.  
  22. Additionally, this localization requires a special version of the
  23. Personal font, designed to support the Hungarian Amiga character set.
  24. The font is included in the "Fonts" directory of this archive, from
  25. where it must be copied to replace the existing Personal font (in the
  26. Personal Paint directory and/or in "FONTS:"). Some characters used by
  27. other languages (e.g. French) are not supported by this new font. Please
  28. note that if a different Personal font is in use, the new font will not
  29. be used until all programs using the old font are terminated and the old
  30. font is flushed from memory (e.g. by typing "Avail FLUSH" in the Shell).

  32. To select the new language in Personal Paint 6.4, the user interface
  33. language must be set to "Custom".

  38. If you wish to contribute in the development of a revised or new version
  39. of a user interface file for a Cloanto package, please refer to the
  40. translation guidelines in the Amiga Documents section at
  41. <http://www.cloanto.com>, and contact us at <support@cloanto.com>. We
  42. will try to reduce duplication of efforts by coordinating different
  43. localization projects. Once the translation is complete, we would ask
  44. that you send it to us, rather than uploading it directly. This allows
  45. us to test it in different screen resolutions, test the keyboard
  46. shortcuts, and create versions of the same language for older program
  47. versions, which we also support. Then we will prepare all the files in
  48. a format consistent with the other files, and upload everything to the
  49. biz/cloan directory on Aminet. Your name and E-mail address will remain
  50. in the "Author" field, and you will also receive the latest version of
  51. Personal Paint from us.
